A few days ago I have come across Like4Like’s service. The concept is not news to me, but it is the first free service that I actually LIKE to use – no pun intended! The concept is simple, you might already know it yourself: You earn credits for following, liking and commenting on social websites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest and can use those credits to receive a vast variety of social interaction from other users.

Have a Pinterest pin that needs some repinning or a Twitter tweet that needs some likes? Earn some credits and trade them in. Very useful service and my favorite thing about them is: You do NOT share any account information with them. That’s a huge safety plus!

Fight against Image Theft on Amazon! #stopimagetheft

Fight against Image Theft on Amazon! #stopimagetheft

So, you would like to help us raise awareness of the problem we independent artist from Zazzle and Society6 have with the Chinese copycats in the Amazon Marketplace? (Read about the issue HERE)

Here is a list of useful links. It includes an online petition and supportive Facebook groups you are free to join. Let’s work on this together 🙂

  • Online Petition on Change.org
  • Facebook group “Who stole my images?” for information on what to do. It’s closed but you may request to join
  • Facebook group “Amazon1Stars” to exchange low 1 star reviews on counterfeit Amazon products. Very supportive! Request to join, it’s closed 🙂
  • I have put up a Pinterest pin you may like and share into different groups to make other artists and the public aware of the issue
  • Wheen tweet or pinning or writing on Facebook and Google+ about this issue, please use the hashtag #stopimagetheft – maybe we can make it viral? 🙂 You can also start by retweeting other tweets about this topic, just follow the link to the hashtag, it will lead you to Twitter.

Please let me know if there are noteworthy links I should add. Thank you!

IFTTT ist probably the most useful site on the internet when it comes to automating tasks. Do you sometimes wonder how people can manage Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and their blogs when there are only 24 hours in a day? IFTTT can do all that tedious work for you and best of all: IFTTT is FREE to use for everyone! No annoying “plus membership plan” that you have to pay for. It is free to use and I know you will love it!

What IFTTT is currently doing for me:

  • sending a tweet every 24 hours to remind people of my blog (and to stay active on Twitter even if there are no news or when I am away)
  • automatically tweets when I am saving something to Pocket (don’t have a Pocket account yet? Sign up 🙂 )
  • tweets whenever I share something on Google+ with a link to that Google+ post
  • share Pinterest stuff to Delicious (sign up for Delicious!)
  • share Pinterest post to Tumblr (sign up for your free Tumblr blog!)
  • share WordPress blog posts (stine1.info is mine) to Diigo (you know what to do: sign up!), Delicious, LinkedIN (sign up!), Twitter and Tumblr!
  • save links from favourite tweets to Pocket
  • when I share new videos on Youtube, they get shared on Twitter, Pocket, Tumblr, Delicious and LinkedIN
  • When I have new products in my Zazzle shop, they get shared with Pocket, Tumblr, a Blogger/Blogspot blog and Twitter

So many tasks, can you imagine doing this all by yourself – day by day? Nah…. me neither!

I am planning on writing a long description on how to use IFTTT in the near future, maybe even publish it as an ebook. Would this be something you are interested in?

For now, please check out the “About” page of IFTTT for a short explanation and do not hesitate to ask your questsions in the comment section below or to check out the related articles.

This post is not only useful for Zazzle sellers, it does also apply for Cafepress, Etsy, Ebay or any other website or product you want to promote.

Most Twitter members make one simple but huge fault:

They join Twitter, tweet some messages and are crushed that their “promotion” does not have any effect.

If this sounds like your experience, you did it all wrong.

Sorry to say this but Twitter is an easy website for free promotion but you need to do it the right way!

It has no use sending out tweets and then hoping to sell something. Twitter is a social website, so you need to be social!

What you have to do in order to generate success through Twitter:

  1. Find Twitter users with similar interests and related tweets. Use the search box on tip of the Twitter page and search for a relevant topic, e.g. Zazzle. Then follow some users who share the same interest.
  2. When you see related tweets (e.g. about Zazzle), click on “retweet” and share their tweets! That way you spread their word and most Twitter users are very likely to go to your profile, follow your tweets and retweet what you had to say!
  3. When you receive a notification from Twitter that someone followed you, check out their profile and follow them back!
  4. When you receive a notification that some has re-tweeted a tweet than it is your duty to retweet one of their tweets!

Once you get the ball rolling, your “circle” of retweeting users will grow and so will your influence!

I myself make it a daily habit to check my emails for notifications and then I actively follow back and retweet.

What I do not like at all are people who do not return the courtesy of re-tweeting. They got it all wrong, are probably still hoping for some success through Twitter and will eventually fail.

So, let’s all retweet and grow our success together, shall we?

You can find me on http://www.twitter.com/stine1_online and don’t forget to retweet 🙂

Pinterest.com is a great free social networking style site where you can share (and market) pictures from all over the net (copyright should be respected!).

I actively follow back users who follow me!

For fellow Zazzle sellers, I also have a group board where you can pin your Zazzle products to. You can find it here:

If you want to join, just follow the board and you will receive an invitation ASAP:

See you soon over on Pinterest!
