Archive for January, 2015

Soiety6 really took off during the last few months of 2014. I am positively surprised how Christmas season played out on my earnings. I will definitely stay active over there and am happy about every payment they grant me. During November 2014 I was able to sell two items:

I am particularly proud about the second sale since it’s the first art print I was able to sell and it earned me $24 – Isn’t this awesome?

Printalloverme really seems to be the surprise candidate during the Christmas shopping season of 2014. Of course I was hoping that my sales would increase but I was still hesitant whether all my invested time would pay off. Creating products in PAOM is anything but fast. You have to create every product individually and add title, description, tags and categories for every single item. Being a PAOM+ member grants you more products – and it takes up to two hours for me to put one design on all products. That’s ridiculous compared to sites like theKase, where designing items takes only minutes. Anyway, please make it pay off in the end… please 🙂

So here are the two sales from November:

Well hello, just when I was about to leave Redbubble in the middle of December thinking “Not even a darn sale during the Christmas shopping season? That’s lame!” two buyers had a (tiny) heart and purchased something from my Redbubble shop. Like 99% of the sales it STICKERS again and here I am wondering WHY STICKERS? Are my other products too expensive or too ugly or what the hell is wrong with them? 😦 Depressing, really depressing. Anyway… during December 2014 I was able to sell three packs of stickers to two customers – le sigh. I will be rich… one day… or another… whenever I will reach this cashout threshold of €15. I don’t even dare to calculate how long this will take. I am – after all – still trying to be optimistic here… Ok, I HAD to at least take a look at my earnings so far and *drum roll* I am at €3.99 at the moment for one whole active year on Redbubble – I hate maths! 😦

These are the two designs I have sold as stickers:

My design “Five Shades of Sunset” is a photo edit of a relatively boring sunset. The photo was shot in California 2010 from the Griffith Observatory near the Hollywood sign but it never really appealed to me. There are far more beautiful sunsets on photos. So I played with Pixlr a bit and added this effect which makes it look like an oil painting.

You can buy products with this designs on many POD websites, let me show you some examples:
