Yesterday morning, Facebook surprised me with an error message when I tried to open their website. The screenshot is in German but it roughly translates to “Your account got blocked because your connected Instagram account nguyenxuanloan39042887 does not comply with our rules.”
The not so funny thing is: This is NOT my Instagram account and nguyenxuanloan39042887 is definitely not me, nor am I affiliated with this in any way!
I have contacted support but of course they are slow and I did not even have an easy “I got hacked, please reset my password” link.
I can still access my Instagram account stine1online and I really do hope this issue will get resolved and that I can have my account back. I do use it to login on some websites and in my favourite mobile game and now I cannot access these services either 😨

This hasn’t happened to me but it’s happened to a number of people I know. One friend of mine only got her Facebook account back after like a year, and she had to get her state Attorney General involved!

Hi Yonni, thanks for taking the time to comment. I have not been able to solve it yet, I am still in the loop of trying to contact support. I have opened tickets both on Facebook and on Instagram, since they had asked me to login to my Instagram profile. I am still crossing fingers. I cannot use the handy Facebook login anymore, which really is annoying since I loved to used to before I switched to the Google login.
I will keep you and all my other lovely followers updated.

It is soooo annoying. I cannot use the Facebook login on other websites which almost locked me out of Spotify. I have found some breadcrumbs in my Facebook account activity (was allowed to download my data) and an IP address in Italy. I was advised to even file a report to the local police – did that and now I need to return to waiting…. and more waiting…
