Very first Sale on VIDA Shopping 😍

You can say anything about the corona virus and the quarantine… some print on demand websites skyrocket this month and this is a huge plus for me. Well, the rest not so much… I know we would all be better off without the virus.

Anyway, I had my first very surprising sale on VIDA:

Fancy Prismatic Flower Sleeveless Top by Christine aka stine1 on VIDA

The downside: I cannot tell you yet how much royalty I will receive since VIDA does not list any information. There is no detailled sales dashboard. You can see how many items you have sold per day and you receive an email telling you which product you have sold – but there are no statistics in your account that tell you ANYTHING.

I wrote to VIDA about this asking for details and this is their answer:

[…] Regarding your sales, you’ll be able to see the number of sold items in your Sales Dashboard. However, if you need complete details of your sales, you need to write to us and ask for a Sales Report. We’ll be happy to provide it.

As additional information, we pay our designers through PayPal on a quarterly (every three months of the year) basis. Designers must have a PayPal email on file with us to receive quarterly payments from VIDA. Here’s our payment schedule:

  • January through March – Payout will be by the end of May.

  • April through June – Payout will be by the end of August.

  • July through September – Payout will be by the end of November.

  • October through December – Payout will be by the end of February.[…]

Phhhhhew, do they honestly expect me to keep asking? Oh hell, if I ever sell more than this one sleeveless top, I will ask them on a monthly basis just to annoy them and make them implement such a feature!!! EVERY print on demand website can list your sales, why not VIDA?

  1. I’m trying to decide whether they are worth it. Images for Vida have to have a wide border. I means I will have to enlarge the outside edges of each image. A lot of people put patterns (now I can see why). I also don’t like being paid so infrequently. I’m thinking I will take the few products that I have there off and wait for them to mature their processes. But thanks for telling us about them. I shall be watching them.
